Authority Having Jurisdiction and By Laws (Session 1 - September 6 / Session 2 - September 8)

Webinar Description

This webinar is a follow up to the spring webinar on the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). In this webinar we will recap AHJ, but focus on how bylaws play an important role for Council to exercise their governance on the construction of homes. The webinar will look at how AHJ and by laws function off reserve. Next, we look at how by laws are passed in First Nations. We also look at how bylaws are drafted with specific attention on housing bylaws and some of the key sections to be considered.
