Webinar description
One of the challenges facing remote communities is the inspection of homes, to ensure that they comply with the national or provincial building code, and other housing standards. The inspection of new homes or home renovations in remote communities’ costs more than inspections in communities near urban centres or in rural parts of the county. These costs are related to having inspectors fly into remote communities. The covid pandemic has also limited the inspectors to gain access to many of the communities.
Teleinspections allows for the building-project, housing manager, or the contractor, to provide photographs and videos of the construction process or phase. These photographs and videos are sent to a certified inspector for review and approvals. Teleinspections, however, can only be used under very strict requirements and conditions. This webinar will give an overview of teleinspections, how it can be applied and what are the requirements and conditions to use teleinspections.
